About Danielle
My story starts at a young age, scavenging around the house for whatever I could get my sticky fingers on back then. Decorative bath towels as head wraps, silk hair scarves tied as skirts and of course, the fashionable sock dress for my Barbie. That curiosity grew as I did and when I had the opportunity to learn how to finally sew, I jumped at it. The opportunity? A one hour long high school elective filled with others who just wanted to create something out of nothing.
That one hour class would turn into majoring in Fashion Merchandising & Management with a concentration in Product Development at Philadelphia University, one of the first textile institutes in the U.S. During my time there I participated in fundraising events as well as our EOY fashion shows that benefited our local community as well as the institute before graduating.
New York sharpened those newfound lessons and experiences. From interning at a streetwear label run by two best friends to refining my skills at a children’s wear company working with a Fortune 500 partner, I learned the ins and outs of design, construction, and color. These are all skills I would take with me to start my fashion accessories company, DNHAUS. A handbag company that at its core, is a declaration that luxury can carry culture, that heritage can evolve, and that style has something to say.
In my free time I create custom pieces, capsule collections, short form media and consult up and coming founders/artists with value forward businesses. I also have interests in branching out into sfx makeup as well as costume/wardrobe styling and design.
